Pirelli International 2017 success

Saturday 29th April 2017 saw the competitors in the 2017 Mintex MSA British Historic Rally Championship tackle the ultra fast forest tracks of Kielder Forest in Northumberland for the Pirelli International Rally.

“Killer Kielder as it is known, is a place where the slightest mistake can result in a massive accident,” explained Phil. “Its tracks are very fast with lots of blind crests so complete trust in your co-driver to call it right is critical.”

“Richard did a brilliant job in the co-driver’s seat and RSR Historic Engineering prepared the car beautifully as usual!”

“We were flying all day, and the only drama we had was a puncture towards the end of stage 1.”

“Other than that we had a trouble free run to a brilliant result – 19th overall, 1st in category 1 and 1st in the class is an amazing result from the smallest car in the event,” beamed a very satisfied Phil.
