Onshore supply chains

Firms look to onshore supply chains A survey shows that mid-sized businesses are considering bringing their production lines back to the UK amid ongoing issues with international supply chains. Just under 50% of the 500 firms surveyed are considering “onshoring” as much of their operations as possible over the coming year. This comes with 77% saying they have seen higher costs throughout their international supply network. On challenges faced when looking to onshore operations, 21% of firms said costs are too high in the UK, while 20% said there are no UK-based suppliers capable of delivering the services they need.
