The 2024 Manx Rally was held over the fast twisty roads of the Isle of Man last weekend. The event is notoriously fast and hard on cars. A bumper field of 160 cars started at 11.30 am on Friday 10th May from Douglas. Several cars dropped out or crashed through the day and when the cars returned to Douglas at midnight, the Harris & Co backed Mk1 Ford Escort which had run flawlessly had secured a class win in class C3 in the British Historic Rally Championship and 3rd overall in Category 2 in the same Championship.
The remaining cars resumed the second leg of the rally from Douglas at 0830 on saturday 11th May and the furious pace quickly claimed more cars through breakdowns and crashes. as the day wore on, over 40 cars dropped out of the event and by the time the cars returned to Doglas at 1730 pm on Saturday, the Harris & Co backed Mk1 Ford Escort secured another class win in C3 in the British Historic Rally Championship and 3rd overall in Category 2 in the same Championship and 3rd overall in Category 2 in the same Championship.
