The first round of the 2015 MSA British Historic Rally Championship is the Red Kite Stages on 1 February 2015. In preparation for the event, the Harris & Co specialist motorsport accountants Mini Cooper did two days of testing at the Walters Arena special stage in south Wales last week.
The conditions were bitterly cold, with snow and ice, but considering that it is 27 years since Phil Harris last drove a forest stage, the test was highly successful.
“I was a bit rusty but some expert tuition from Rob Smith really helped. I learned loads from him and he gave me some excellent guidance. My target is to have some fun, enjoy the experience and finish the Red Kite. I feel more confident now having managed two days of testing!” said a delighted Phil
“The Mini ran perfectly and she is a dream to drive. The team at RSR Historic Engineering have done a brilliant job in preparing her!” beamed Phil. “I can’t wait to get behind the wheel again for the Red Kite!”
